Various anodes such as Pb-Ag, Mixed Metal Oxide Ti, Pt-Ti, Pt-Nb etc. are used in cathode protection by anodes with rectifier. This anode has low consumption rate and high output current.
In case of applying cathode protection by anodes with rectifier to type object installed in fresh water or in soil, it is the most widely used anode of which effectiveness can be maximized by backfilling and using as Coke Breeze.
It has a highest efficiency of galvanic anodes, as the strength of material is weak and arc is not generated in shock, it is suitable to use in area that flammable gas is not generated.
It is light and amount of generating current per unit weight is a lot, able to manufacture anode in large size, being the most widely used in offshore construction.
Mg-Anode: galvanic anode-type anode being used for steel structure in underground or underwater. As it has a high driving potential, it is suitable for environment of a high specific resistivity, its shape and weight can be applied variously depending on design.
Cathodes Protection Rectifier
